About me

Many of you know me from my years performing in the duo, Neal & Leandra. For 25 years, I worked full time as a singer and a song writer. Over that time I not only learned about creative focus and how to apply it, I lived it.  Living a life with the different parts in harmony is more than a metaphor for me!  It’s a skill that I believe can be applied to every aspect of our lives.

I decided to combine my experience with academic study and training.  I received my M.A. in Human Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. My coursework focused on creativity and coaching and how we change (or don’t!) as we go through life.  I work with clients by phone.

After concerts we would greet audience members and, often, people would shake our hands and say something like, “I wish I could do what you do.”  Usually, they don’t mean they want to play the guitar and sing.  Frequently, they meant “I wish I could do something fun and creative that would bring joy and satisfaction.”  That is a big need that all of us have – not just singers and song writers. As a coach, I’d like to help you fill that need.

I would consider it a privilege to support and encourage you as your coach.  I can help you have more fun, be creative, and feel joy and satisfaction in your daily life.  So look around my website and look around your life for areas in which you feel stuck or ‘out of tune’ – I’d appreciate the opportunity to talk with you, so please contact me with any questions or ideas.
